Nilesh Shah is the Founder and CEO of Envision Capital, a leading investment management institution focused on providing Portfolio Management Services (PMS). He is highly regarded for his stock picking skills and for his investment strategy of identifying growth-oriented capital efficient businesses with a long-term perspective.

Apart from being a very successful chief investment officer and entrepreneur, Nilesh is regarded as one of India’s thought leaders in investing. Through his very regular interactions on electronic and social media, Nilesh has shared his knowledge and experience with millions of fellow citizens to enable them to be more informed investors and participate in India’s economic growth. Nilesh has also been a speaker at various overseas events spanning from America to Australia to showcase India as an investment destination and attract international direct and portfolio investments in India

Prior to founding Envision, Nilesh’s professional career has been with two of India’s most respected home grown financial institutions – HDFC group and Kotak group. He joined the Kotak group as an Executive and soon became Executive Director at Kotak Securities and President, Kotak Asset Management.  He also became the youngest member of the Kotak Leadership Team comprised of the group’s top 30 employees. During this period, Kotak Securities became India’s leading brokerage and PMS house and Kotak Asset Management received several awards.

Nilesh holds a CFA from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), where he ranked all-India 1st in CFA Preliminary Levels, and a post-graduate in management from IRMA, where he was valedictorian. He is also a recipient of several academic and professional awards.

• Panelist for the first-ever “Smart Investor Camp “organized by CNBC TV 18 in 2004;

• Featured as investment wizard of Indian Stock Market in the 1st Series of “Wizards of Dalal Street” by CNBC TV 18 in the year 2005;

• During his tenure as President, Kotak AMC, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, he received the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Awards 2006-Best Mutual Fund House from the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh;

• Panelist for “Mutual Fund Knowledge Summit” of prominent Chief Investment Officers organised by ICICI Bank in 2006;
